We found that it was so thick that it was possible to slide down the hill at full speed by just pumping your feet up and down. We recommend travelling the Yamnuska loop in a counter-clockwise direction. This is a somewhat challenging hike up Grotto Canyon, with several slick boulders that are especially difficult for young children. Sometimes it’s nice to have a peak to yourself to fully take it in, but unfortunately the peak was teeming with people.
